Post Gencon coma... I am ALIVE!!!! PART 1

Hey everyone!! I am FINALLY caught up from Gencon and can tell the story. August was extremely busy for me but I will try to catch everyone up.

First things First.....GENCON!!!
Well Gencon was an AMAZING 4 days and this year was very successful for me. My crew and I drove from Here (Frederick MD) all the way to Indianapolis and we spent a whirlwind 4 days before driving back.  While there I had an open schedule so i could hang out with Friends and acquaintances I never get to see. While there I was able to talk and hang with some of my Hobby Heroes Like Painter Tom Schladel, Secret Weapons Justin McCoy, Several Lone Wolf Developers, and My good friends Rudi, Val, and Lyn. We had a ton of fun and was always doing something. This year had less swag as I had expected But overall it was fun. Since I had a open schedule I linked up with my friend and pro Painter Lyn Stahl and we worked at the MHE paint and take table for a few hours. I actually LOVE working there as I like helping new hobbyists learn new skills. While working Lyn told me about several of her new projects and what she has been doing for the past year..... Stop by and check her stuff out!! Lyn Stahl- Metalhead minis

Second up is my Finished projects and current wargame projects....
I finished a terrain piece for my local FLGS that has been sitting all broken and neglected for about a year now. I took it home and put it back together and repainted it. it was a peice that was purchased on ebay and was cast from plaster out of Hirst Arts molds. it looked nice but was put together with hotglue..... Really. so it just fell to pieces once it was used. I superglued all the joints and reinforced every brick with superglue by flowing glue into the cracks..... 12 tubes of waterthin glue later it was stable..... LOL after then I primed it with Rust colored primer so it would have some warmth of color and started airbrush. I added some warmer colors to add interest to the tables (cityfight terrain usually suffers from the GREYS..... no other colors) Anyway Here is some pics of the Chapel:

I also am starting a commision paint of a Brass scorpion made from defilers.... This is an interesting conversion and I cant wait to have some fun with it. I have a very liberal instructions and really am only limited by the colors I can use as it needs to match the customers army. Here is the scorpion broken down ready to begin....
And after thats done I will begin on my Khorne Warhound..... this will augment my Bloodpact IG army.
I will talk about some of my upcoming projects in a followup post as this is getting large BUT its time for that part most wanted......... the Large PHOTO DUMP!!!!
